Sometimes you simply need larger print heights. The standard print height of TIJ cartridges is 1/2" (approx. 12.7mm), but there are also cartridges with a 1" print head (approx. 25.4mm). For print heights above this 25mm one uses cascaded TIJ cartridges, which then print coordinated with each other by a correspondingly optimized software. Thus, for example, a print height of approx. 5cm can be achieved with 2 1" cartridges. There are even systems with 4 or more TIJ heads printing in parallel.

The NasaJet® NJ-5000 Large Character Printer

With the NasaJet® NJ-5000, in addition to our hand-held printers and the stationary models NJ-1000 and NJ-2000, we also offer a professional marking system that can be integrated into existing assembly line productions with little effort. The NasaJet® NJ-5000 consists of a computer unit (control unit) and two 1" TIJ (Thermal Inkjet) based print heads. The computer unit allows easy and convenient generation and management of print data directly at the point of use via a touch screen and controls the output at the print head according to the set production speeds (up to 60m per minute).

The NJ-5000 is equipped with 2x 1 inch ink cartridges. This results in combined print heights from 2 to 50mm high.
